Here's what I don't understand...and it's on SO many different levels...
1) You'd think Janet Jackson would tone down anything controversial, you'd think her family is going through enough.
2) If you have talent, why do you have to do this?
3) The NFL would have had to approve it and why would they want everyone to be talking about JJ's boob instead of the game?
But you know the worst thing? It's been done now. Next time there won't be an uproar. Sure, for the next few days everyone will be talking about it, how wrong it was, but nobody will be punished. They'll all be rewarded and next year it will be worse. It's our fault. It is.

Sure, for the next few days everyone will be talking about it, how wrong it was, but nobody will be punished. Exactly!!!! Advertisers WANT to be talked about - to create a Buzz, whether it's for something extrodinarily good they did or extrodinarily bad. As long as people are talking.

You're absolutely right. I totally agree.
regarding #1, I think this was Janet's attempt to reinforce the idea that their family is "normal."
