"Why should someone making a million a year pay the 6% social security rate when their benefits are capped?"

my benefits are capped, and I don't make a million...

besides, if the ultra rich Howood limosine liberals all had to pay the Social Security tax on all their income, sure as shootin' Social Security would be fixed immediately...

too many people that don't contribute the 8% on all their income are making the tax laws for the rest of us that do....

when you are making middle class wages, increasing taxation is of paramount concern.

Its just like if Congress had to pay into Medicare the same way as the citizens do,and accept all the limitations, believe me, Medicare would be fixed right away....

I don't think you understand how the system works. Your benefits are based on how much you've paid into the system and for how long. There is a certain limit to how much one can receive. The idea is that you receive benefits based on how much you've paid into the system. If the benefits are capped at a certain dollar amount, it doesn't make sense that they would pay over a certain amount (around 87k I believe). Class warfare and jealousy has no place in the Republican party. You sound just like a liberal.

Hmmm, I suppose that the rich in this country could state that too many people aren't paying a federal marginal tax rate of over 35%. Either way, they are paying more taxes for every dollar they earn than you do. You could say that you are freeloading on the rich. Of course, you socialists don't really have a problem with that...
