"If Kerry wins, the country will go to Hell."

In order to support this pronouncement you have to assume, incorrectly, that the Republican Congress will roll over and encact any new initiative that Kerry dreams up.

Remember when Clinton was President and the Congress majority was Repubican and almost a Republican majority in the Senate, there was gridlock and nothing got done. It was prosperous times, as well.

There is something good to be said for gridlock.

It is obvious that a Republican majority in the Congress and a Republican President is not about rolling back the leviathan federal government, as Newt Gringrich promised me if I voted Republican, but the modus operandi is doing whatever it takes to keep the position of majority at the expense of the constitution, liberty, and private property.

Actually, your theory is not completely right. The pubbies only held the line on Clinton's spending for the first two or three years. After about 1997, they signed on as co-conspirators. After the "government shut-down" cave, they lost the will to fight or to even care (if they ever did care in the first place).

The Demorat alternative simply is not an option!! George is our man and HE must be reelected! There probably isn't anyone here that likes everything that has gone on, spending being the bad part for those of us conservative types, but we have to keep pressure on these animals who are trying to kill us and we KNOW the Dems will not do that and the U.N. wants nothing except money from the U.S. and our very souls to boot. President Bush must pull it out big and we must be the ones to help him.

If what is happening is so bad why don't you all end it all. Go ahead and stay home or vote for someone else. Two to five years down the road when New York or Los Angles are nuked by terrorists who were treated as criminals like the Dems belive they are then you will see how petty you are. Do you folks believe that a Kerry government whould do what is needed to protect the USA? A Republican congress can harp all it wants and can do nothing because it is the executive branch that controls the defense of the country. Even the things you complain about show that President Bush is looking towards the future. The border problem needs addressing and deporting illegals is not only impossible in a practical sense, it also would destabilize Mexico and that is a can of worms we don't want to open. Like it or not most of the people in the USA illegaly are here because many of the jobs they do are not wanted by Americans. We have to figure good way to control the influx and meet the needs of the labor market. President Bush has started the discussion like a leader should. Drug benifits for seniors is needed and cost effective. If seniors have access to a affordable drug plan health care costs will be reduced. Modern drugs are important to maintain the health of seniors, reduce the affordability of such drugs and the health of seniors is affected and thus costs for sick seniors increase. Like what President Bush is doing or not at least he forward looking and that is what is needed in todays America. BUSH 2004!!
