Is the data collected automatically compressed to save space? If so can this data be uploaded while compressed after it is collected? Someone mentioned PKZIP; I am no expert in any sense but could part of the file problem be that somehow the collected data was un-compressed before sending it up to the sattelite? Compressed files are quite large I think, so where does this collection of data go critical and flood the circuits? Could being jarred on landing partially contributed to this problem?
