I did the calcs and came up with 7.33 days per mile. It was two weeks ago so I don't remember the parameters. I do know that I based it on 100% duty cycle and these rovers can't do that.

I could be wrong, but I think that I could get to the Beagle's landing site first by bicycle.

We originally used two inch tapes with data written by four heads rotating at 7200 rpm. Bandwidth was always an issue with video, too. It's funny how some parts of technology change and others don't, in video we've gone from analog to digital, and from quad tape to recording direct to hard drives, but when it comes time to archive what we've done tape is still the medium of choice.

And that '66 Buick wagon will still hold a heck of a lot of programming.
