Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity Roll Out on Mars at 12 AM PST 1-31-2004 (LIVE THREAD)

The roll off of Opportunity from the lander pad at Meridiani Planum will occur at midnight tonight.

JPL NASA will be carried live on NASA TV.

JPL reports a 12 AM PST "Opportunity egree live coverage"

4 AM PST : Opportunity egress briefing

Eh, I could care less about the rollout; I'm sure the big news will be them announcing the results of the min-TES analysis of the outcrop :-)

Sadly no way I'm going to be up for the press conference.

I pulled it up on RealPlayer without much of a problem too. the pic quality was not very good but...

folks with cable modems probably get a good pic. you have a cable modem, don't you?
