They were that same way here --- getting very violent until Silvestre Reyes started that Operation Blockade and then Operation Hold-the-Line and pushed many to try to come further west instead. Gangs were coming over, carjacking, blocking roads and smashing cars with occupants --- including children terrified inside --- so they could rob them. Violent gangs seem to be coming over more often lately in city limits --- breaking into schools and homes, stealing whatever they can. You can tell how secured the border is just by the crime rate here.
