Just teasing. I saw you were concerned you might lose your "Bushbot status," so I played along. The NEA is a pustule, but a symbolic pustule, and not that expensive, as big government swindles go. I'd kill it in a heartbeat, but I was strcuk at how this, of all things, touched the nerve it has with a few. BTW, you got #666.

It's time to jump ship because this puny NEA spending is going back to spending levels that are... ah, ah, still no where's near 1995 levels.

It touched a nerve with me probably because I am more socially than economically conservative. Sure, I want no more income tax etc., but if it comes between a social issue or an economic issue, I probably will get more riled up about the social one since unfortunately, our economy probably won't go back to what it once was in its complete free market structure and low taxes on Americans with less bloated govt. etc.
Probably I have the feeling that the culture war is ultimately more vital for the future of the nation, so this is where I will stand and fight to the end of the day, not economic issues.
