Why dont people get a write in campaign to let Bush know that his base is not thrilled with his policies. Like it or not, he is much better than the alternatives but we have to send this up to not only POTUS but congress also. If our base doesnt make noise and just keep arguing about this, nothing is going to get done and Kerry or someone as awful as him is going to waltz in and then we will be left in the wilderness.

We have a write in campaign here in Tennessee that I hope gathers some steam. People are writing in Tancredo... one that supports the President in most ways, but not on amnesty for illegals.

As long as they know they own your vote, you can cry foul 'till the cows come home, and nothing's gonna change, except for the worst.

It's not a matter of letting them know that they're alienating their base. They know they're alienating the base. They just don't care, because they assume that they own our votes.

See my tagline for the bushbot take on the situation. I rather suspect the sentiment in the Rove Room is identical to Tex's smirky assertion.
