Insults and anger [Letter to the Editor and BARF]

Insults and anger

Throughout 2003, insults and anger were shown toward the illegal immigrants in the letters to the editor, and so far this year has not been the exception. All without knowing the whole truth, and, unfortunately, anger continues to be what I read week after week and in some cases almost daily.

However, now that perhaps — only perhaps — there will be a new law for Mexicans to enter the country and to work legally, people out there still are complaining about it. My question is: Why is there so much hatred against us? Do you not know that we are allies, not enemies? Every person is entitled to his/her opinion. However, I suggest some of you readers get the real facts about illegal immigrants before throwing mud left and right.

Isn't it strange how "illegal aliens" rolls off the tongue so well now that the word "illegal" is almost ignored?

Someone call the INS. There's an illegal named Edgardo L. Sanchez who is living in Canoga Park, CA.

Seeing as he outed himself someone might as well be bothered to go pick him up and send him on his way.

The trick is to ask the politicians which laws American citizens can break? If they let illegals break our immagration laws, why not us randomly pick laws we can break. Fair is fari, right? It's for the CHILDREN after all.

We don't hate you, Edgardo L. Sanchez. We just want your opportunistic brethren to stay home instead of coming here illegally.

Or are you saying you'd like to see us reward criminals for breaking our laws? Hmmmmm????

" Do you not know that we are allies, not enemies?"

Yo, Pancho, who told you that? What has Mexico EVER done to earn "ally," neighbor, sure, but, ally? Think of our country (even your country, too) as a house in which we live. Just because we leave the door open doesn't mean that anyone walking by can enter and help themselves. If you are invited in, fine, you are our guest. Without an invitatin, you are breaking and entering and when you take something, no matter how much you believe you need it, you are stealing.

I just wish the US government would defend the border between Mexico and the US as well as Mexico defends the border between Mexico and Guatamala.

Pancho, as an illegal alien in the US, you are a criminal. Once more, you steall goods and services and take work that Americans need. The politicans may pander to you, but most Americans recognize you for what you are.

Well, Pedro, there's an article in this morning's LA Times, regarding the Tenet Corporation selling an incredible 19 of it's hospitals in the southern California area. The last straw was the corporation being hit with seismic retro-fitting costs required by the state, and this, coupled with poor financials to begin with, has lead to the hospitals being sold. And also, Tenet expects that there will be limited interest in any of them. And you know why, Pedro? Because each of these facilities is required to treat waves and waves of non-paying, free-loading illegals every day, and there just aren't enough resources available to do that. So people are finally fed up, and they aren't going to do it anymore. After a while, it makes little sense to bust your ass and try to make things work against impossible odds. Now, the AMERICANS living in the areas now losing their hospitals will be negatively impacted, but of course, you don't really care about that, do you Pedro. California is getting close to the breaking point, financially, on all this. I hope we have a state left to pick up once the smoke clears.

Randomly, schmandomly. If illegal aliens can select the laws (the immigration laws) they get to break, then I select the tax code.

And another thing, Jose, you illegals come here, then you have your babies, taking advantage of our STUPID 14th Amendment. Or you then send for your wives, husbands, children, momma and pappa....polluting our country with your rable. We American citizens have never asked for this. We've never voted to allow your ilk into our country. Our leaders are just as criminal as you.

I think a nice juicy lawsuit against the U.S. government - for dereliction of duty: not doing its primary job of defending our borders, is in order here. Then maybe we'd see some change.

there's already a new law for Mexicans to enter the country? is he talking about Bush's proposal? If so someone down there should write a letter to the editor stating that so far there is no law allowing illegals to enter leagally.
