What a suprise! Carl Lenin's office doesn't give a damn. They didn't even ask where I was from. Jackasses.

At least Stabenow's office asked for that information for a response. I'll give her a little credit for that.

You’re a generous man.

I always thought they used it for toilet paper.

I just phoned my Dem Senator (thin-margin) of a very pro-gun state, and told the staffer that a courageous stand for our Second Amendment rights would give him a chance at my vote.

We single-issue voters need not only to be able to punish our own when they fail, but to reward our advereies when they do the right thing.

What are your plans to stop it?

You mean, beyond phone calls, letters, faxes, emails to congress critters?

Please take just a moment to call both of your Senators, urging them to oppose S.1034 (the standalone bill that renews and slightly expands the 1994 "Assault Weapons" Ban) or any attempt to amend a ban renewal to S.659, the junk lawsuit preemption bill. Even if one or both of your Senators are known to be anti-gun, it doesn't hurt to remind them of how unpopular this issue is.

Not to mention the expanded versions S-1431/HR-2038, which would pretty much ban all semi-automatic's with removable magazines. It would expand the "by name" ban list, and would "improve" the definition of "assault weapon" to ban many many more gun models.

This has started to get some play on TheHighRoad.org, so I'm bumping it again. I think everyone needs to know how low-down dirty and underhanded the antis are, and how low they are willing to stoop.

The "anti" what?

It's shorthand for "anti-gun crowd". You'll see that shorthand reference on gun boards and on gun threads here now and then.

I know how my representatives in Congress elected from Utah will vote on the assault weapons ban. They are probably weary of receiving letters from me. I will just let them do their job and vote no.

It's nice to have some elected representatives who care about the Second Amendment.
