There were a lot of Freepers that cheered the steel tarrif and decidedly un-conservative position. FR is a nominally "conservative" site with large doses of Populist and Libertarian philosophies thrown in. It is no surprise that Bush's policies would be seen as un-conservative to one or more of the 3 factions when all 3 claim the “conservative” label
