Absolutely, these Republicans deserve a thousand kudos for standing up to the party line and their unpopular idea. I hope it spreads.

If Oberweis can win in Illinois, it will be a shot heard around Carl Rove's world. Though I can't vote in Illinois ( I'm not a democrat and I'm still alive ) I've been promoting him with some of the downstate Illinois residents I work with.

An Oberweis victory would be a tremendous boost to the real immigration reform movement. I'll have to check the polls on him, he's got one on his site that says he's ahead, which is good news if true.

The issue is beginning to resonate nationally. Politicians who support amnesties may not have their jobs much longer.
