Why are you making such a big deal about disruptors?

It is these others who are making a big deal of it, as though they are some last brave few souls struggling against some unwashed horde of invaders who have invaded FR and are going to nail them to a cross or something.

And because they imply that our staff and our software is inadequate. I maintain exactly the opposite: that FR is the most secure of online forum sites. I won't do more than hint at it but I think FR could survive a lot more than most any site you could name. For instance, we've never had the site hijacked. But the FBI and the CIA and NSA and DOJ and many major corporations have had this done to them. Given that we are hated by the Slashdot nerd crowd as much or more than any of those others, do you really think we're sitting here, fat dumb and happy and just not getting attacked? I think you grossly underestimate our opponents and just how good FR software really is. Don't be fooled just because FR has a plain-text look. The real power is under the hood.

Do you honestly think disruptors last around here for going on five years? My dear, if you were a disruptor, you wouldn't even have lasted your ten months of membership here. You wouldn't have lasted ten days. Probably not ten hours. Most disruptors don't last ten minutes.

Nobody fools JimRob and the staff for that long.

What is it with you and the "staff" bit? Did you buy FreeRepublic from Jim and not tell us about it? You're just a FReeper like the rest of us. Just because you chose to disguise yourself as the POTUS doesn't mean you actually are.

By the way, my dear, some disruptive FReepers have been allowed to remain for YEARS before being given the boot.
