Actually, I think our motives are quite different.
I don't vote philosophically.
It's very important to me that my one precious powerful vote be as absolutely constructive as possible, in support of who can actually implement the very most good for our blessed America.

doodlelady, you vote for the person who will do the most GOOD for the country, and that requires the ability to win.
Any vote out of 'conscience' that results in the potential election of someone who will HARM the country (i.e. a Democrat), is ill considered, wasteful, and potentially dangerous.

I am in a very interesting position in this election. I will be voting for who I think will do the best Constitution Party and rep on all down ticket races. This action can not harm GWB (but hopefully if enough do it will make some in the party think). I live in TX and if GWB is in anything near the danger of losing TX then he already has lost to many other states to have a prayer of wining. He won TX by over 65% in 2000. I can protest and vote my conscience without damaging the best viable candidate there is in this election.
