You have unwittingly proved the very point you have tried to refute by showing how often he has expanded the size of the government and pushed to remove power from the states through various actions.

And why is it that I see no mention of his support of the Patriot Act or campaing finance reform? Oh wait, I know why. Because that didn't help conservatives or the Constitution.

Apparently the title of the thread went completely over your head. I suppose you want to see a lib elected so you can really have something to b---h about. Name one candidate who has one scintilla of a chance to get elected, who is closer to your agenda.

Helped me--I am a conservative and I sure do like that Patriot Act. I think Kerry did too and so did LIeberman and so did Edwards and oh, yes, Kucinich did not like the Patriot Act. Yeah, Kucinich (?)

The point of the list isn't to say that Bush is 100% pure on conservative issues. It's to say that he is conservative on an overwhelming number of issues of major significance. Except of course to those who suffer from obsessiveness and can't get off the one or two issues that they've blown way out of proportion, this overwhelming list will have no impact. The point is, one has to twist their reasoning into the Mother of All Pretzels to deny that Bush is a conservative.
