Wise-cracking funnyman Al Franken yesterday body-slammed a demonstrator to the ground after the man tried to shout down Gov. Howard Dean. The tussle left Franken's trademark thick-rim glasses broken, but he said he was not injured. HELLO .. Where I come from that's called an Assault!
And no mention on the condition of the guy he tackled
Can you imagine the outraged if Hannity did something like that??

Yeah, it's assault if your not a celebrity.
I just can't get over the 'body-slam' verbiage. I can just picture Al picking some guy up and slamming him on the ground.
I want to see Al in his glasses all wrapped up w/ scotch tape.
Don't miss Hannity today, He's going to have DEAN on.

Franken is certifiable. I'm not surprised one bit that he resorted to physical violence. The man ought to have him arrested and sue Franken's pants off.

If Hannity did that, it would be the lead story that night on CBS, ABC, and NBC, and would be the 24 hour breaking news on CNN and probably on Fox news too (to show they are "fair and balanced" and capitalize on the publicity value).
There would be media roundtables on whether Hannity should be permitted to stay on the air, what this tells us about teh conservative movement in general, etc.
