I did some checking Revel and you are correct. The pellet stoves require electricty to run the feeder/hopper. Thanks for catching my error.

Some times the power required to run the hopper is not extensive and you can do so for some time using a car batter and power inverter which you can purchase for a little as $39.00 How ever if the motor is an inductive motor then it may not run properly on the cheaper modified sine wave(made from square waves) inverters that are normally for sale. It may get you buy for a few days though. You would have to check the functionality before you get in a jam. True sine wave inverters are out there, but at a premium price. Any motor with brushes will run just fine on a modified sine wave so long as the inverter meets the motors power requirements.
