Excellent point. Consider this my apology to all for any comments that offend.
I promise forthwith to lurk and post only information, if I have any, or to simply ask a question.

There is nothing wrong bringing up a point, just as long as it's done diplomatically.
You are not omniscient, neither is anyone else posting here that I know of, and most of us don't claim to be either. ;)
I think that claiming that just because an attack didn't happen, means there wasn't one planned is an inaccurate conclusion. It is a possibility, but considering the various sources, and the actual actions the administration took, that we know of, and much we don't, would indicate that it is much more likely, that attacks were planned and foiled. Thank God!
As for Russia -- we have pretty strong evidence that Russia has been supporting Saddam, quite possibly using him as proxy against the US. However, my personal opinion is that while that was true in the past -- there is too much evidence to ignore it -- in the present Putin reassessed the situation, and is no longer supporting countries against us.
Russians aren't fully on board with us, but they are also not actively working against us. Frankly, I think we can trust the Russians more than we can trust the French.

Hey, your thoughts and observations are just as important here as everyone else's and welcomed. And if you were to be personally attacked or ridiculed for expressing them I'd be one of the first one's to speak up on your behalf.
There has been a wide and interesting array of views, thoughts and opinions but because one's widely diverge from someone else's doesn't mean they are wrong unless of course it can be proven, with facts, sources and hopefully tact. Debate is healthy and I for one am humbled by the intelligence and thoughtfulness with which the majority of posts are made.
Stick around and help us out.
