Anyone else have a handy, dandy "breaking news" service that delivers text messages to your cell phone/pager?
I almost NEVER get a "breaking news alert" - not even when something REALLY bad happens.
Tonight - and I kid you not - I've gotten at least a dozen "breaking news" updates on Kerry/Edwards/Lieberman/etc. Who won what where. Like I give a yip.
On the other hand..ZERO "breaking news alerts" about ricin since yesterday.
What in the heck does this say about our priorities as a country, and the control the media has over what we are spoonfed?
Given the fact we're not "totally" out of the Eid/countdown clock woods yet, I was going to leave my phone on all night on my nightstand..if there was "breaking news", it'd beep and wake me up..however, I'll be darned if I'm gonna be woken up many times tonight to hear who won XYZ state among the 7 Dwarves (or, "breaking news" on how the Hildebeast is gonna enter the race now that good Joe is out).
