Absolutely yes-and I'm not the worrying type. (Did nothing about Y2K, don't worry about Mad Cow, and-ashamed to say- still haven't quit smoking.)
I'm having the exact same vacillation- to the point that I'm trying to encourage my family to travel to another relative's home in a rural area.
Then, for example, I'll go to the grocery store; everything seems normal. Listen to the news- all soothing-snowstorms, Democratic Primary, were there or weren't there WMD's in Iraq, Lacy Peterson...) No one seems anxious at all. Threat level was reduced and all.
Some other things that I keep thinking about are those NEST teams being sent to cities, the recent cog "exercise" when the alert was raised, but mostly, the level of pure hatred on the Jihad forums- which all seem to coincide on the same dates.

but mostly, the level of pure hatred on the Jihad forums- Agreed. The Jihadi brand of Islam appears to be an entire religious system based on pure and utter hate - of everyone and everything other than themselves, including even the majority of other Muslims. Any time I look into any of their discussions or web sites I feel a distinct sense of spiritual pollution.

jerseygirl - I couldn't of summed it up better myself!
You sure you're not my twin sister?
Your comments were EXACTLY what happens over here. Go to the store - normal. Listen to the news - normal. etc.
Come here..read about the Jihadi forums. Yikes. From that alone, we should be at RED++++ as they ALL seem to coincide on the same dates.
Wonder where the disconnect between the alert level, media coverage and jihadi forums comes in?
Something doesn't mesh here.

But we should not forget that the target cities (e.g., NYC) and sites have remained at an increased threat level...
