The military also plans to launch military satellites from the Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan and the Plesetsk launch pad in northern Russia -- a simulation of the replacement of satellites lost in action, Kommersant said. This is WAY smart, realistic and unfortunately, beyond our capability at the moment if I had to guess.
Hmmm...perhaps Big Bend Nat Park would be immune from most fallout. I'm not laughing.

In every image of the two al-Zawahiri is always shown on the right or the dominant. On which right? On the right as we, the viewer, are looking at the video, or on Zawahiri's right?

The only way for a country to leave us defensless would be to destroy our GPS capability. Now, If Russia has killer satelites, there might be room to worry, I don't think they have them but, what do I know, I still fish with a cane pole.

An election forecast: Well get bin Laden
Sen. Grassley sees terrorist nabbed by Nov. 2 vote
He doesnt bother to attend secret CIA briefings of his fellow senators because he seldom learns anything he hasnt read in the newspapers, but Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) is convinced the U.S. will track down the elusive mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks before November.
Obviously, hell be caught between now and the election, Grassley said Monday when asked if hes disappointed that Osama bin Laden hasnt been killed or captured.
I think theyre on his trail now in a way they havent been all year, Grassley said. It will happen because we will be able to divert more resources [to hunting down bin Laden].

Sen. Chuck Grassley: Confident Osama bin Laden will be captured.
Grassley, whos an overwhelming favorite to win a fifth term in November, declined to say why hes so confident that bin Laden will be brought to justice. But it certainly didnt come from one of those secret CIA briefings.
I think its legitimate for me to question all of our intelligence information because that I never learned anything from those briefings that I hadnt learned in the newspapers. If they dont know anything more than theyre telling us, whats the use of having an intelligence agency, and why bother to brief us?

Been studying that for years. I'm well aware of all of that. Even down to Big Bend being being a relatively clear area with lots of shelter, food and water. It's always been a contingency. Unfortunately, it would have to be utilized before anything happened because it would surely be cordoned off by government forces otherwise. Once I'm in those mountains, I'd be ok. Easier to fight to hold your ground than to fight your way in.

"the exercise was set for mid-February and would closely resemble a 1982 Soviet exercise dubbed the "seven-hour nuclear war...the maneuvers would involve Tu-160 strategic bombers test-firing cruise missiles over the northern Atlantic. Analysts describe such an exercise as an imitation of a nuclear attack on the United States."
Again this fits right in with Esperanza's concern about missles coming from Cuba to NYC. And her talking about a Russian surprise.

Everyone must remember what Russia was up to in Iraq just before the invasion.Fidel would jump at the chance to assist Russia and get US military off Cuban soil not to mention how Mexico would react. We take for granted in our feelings of security, warm and cozy in our wonderful nation, AC in the summer, plenty of food, nice cars, etc.Socialist, Islamist and Communist don't have this luxury and, like a spoiled child, would like to keep us from having it and would try to destroy us out of spite.

How do we find out the "pretend" warhead size on these intercontinental missles? We have to get some bearing on what size area will be hit and what area around it will have to be evacuated. There was a map blaster that showed a small scale hit...we need to see the area for a 10 or 25 or 50 kiloton hit.
What size 'oops' do you think we'll get in this hit? Ain't nothing my betadine can do if this is incoming.
Think it's time to start yodeling.
