Don't you find it amazing the number of folks here who would cheer if our space program died. It baffes me and depresses the hell out of me. I had thought that the hallmark of conservatism was rational and logical thinking not knee-jerk reactionism - especially with the counterarguements of 'I don't believe it so it isn't true no matter how much proof you have.'

And I love how the arguments alternate between this being a huge waste of money to benefit Haliburton, et al., do it being a bogus underfunded proposal.
