I live in the Appalachians where 80% of the people are descended from Scots/Irish/Welsh/Austrian settlers.
Every single one of is capable of picking up a flag and leading the charge into battle.
Trouble is, every single one of us would carrying our *own* particular flag, charging all by ourselves with no one else behind us and only by luck would we all arrive at the *same* battle!...LOL!

I must work very hard to overcome those tendencies and act in the interest of the whole....;)
