Ahh yes, the Clinton's Third Way scheming gets an 'unsigning' from a more mature, responsible, and American administration.

Perhaps the most telling aspect of the clinton signing of the Rome Treaty, the act that formally put America under ICC jurisdiction, is the date -- Dec. 31, 2000 -- mere days before the clintons' "unpardonably" flagitious -- and, many would say, long overdue -- Oval-Office exit.

Apparently, what was not good enough for the clintons is good enough for Bush

Rome Statute of the Internat'l Criminal* Court

*the term "criminal" defined at the discretion of 142 countries, of which not all share the exact views on justice as the United States.

Great post Mia. I think we'll be sorting out for the next decade all the bad issues and policies that the clintons signed on to. My tag line is all that needs to be said next.

The Rome Treaty would give the ICC the right to review U.S. court decisions and re-try individuals if the ICC determines decisions "were not conducted independently or impartially," or were for the purpose of "shielding the person concerned from criminal responsibility."

The ICC also does away with rights granted Americans under the Constitution, like the right to confront one's accusers, due process, trial by jury, a public and speedy trial by an impartial jury, and protection from cruel and unusual punishments. So Bush "unsigned" it.

Only Bill "Third Way" Clinton would sign such treaty, giving away the rights of American citizens guaranteed them by the U.S. Constitution. Unfortunately for us, no media figure will ever publicly broach this subject with him and force him to state how he came to make "the decision" to sign this treaty. Imagine if Al Gore had won in 2000, it surely would've been the end of America as we know it. Once again we are shown what a horrible excuse for a human being he was for 8 years and the MEDIA gives him a shameful pass. Some things will apparently never change.

Thanks for mentioning the Clinton's infamous "Third Way"
political vision.

Yes, Bill and Hillary want to "do it"
the Third Way.

(in loving memory of Hitler's Third Reich?)

Is Evil so brazen as to
DO IT right in front of us
and we don't even notice?

Enter Bill and Hillary.

Eight international lawyers, -- plus law professors from Britain, Ireland, France and Canada -- are building a case before the ICC, charging Great Britain and the United States with "war crimes." They plan to turn it over to ICC prosecutor Luis Moreno Ocampo next month in the Hague.

Hillary will remain silent on this, leaving her various flying monkey candidates to screech about Bush's war crimes and about how the international community now loathes us so much because of the war criminal Bush...

Miserable failure will be replaced by war criminal. If it gains any traction, in she jumps. If it doesn't, she may still jump in but she won't be dirtied by making the accusation herself.

Maybe they should check with Belgium on how well it worked when they tried it. It will work as well as "miserable failure" and in the same direction IMO. Hopefully this will be very effective in turning more Americans against the "international community" in the form of the UN, the ICC and various toxic NGOs.
