Will our average weight, waistline, and cholesterol levels decline? In our family, we have four people on the Atkins diet. The average weight, waistline, and cholesterol levels have declined in every one of us. Combined we have lost over 240 pounds and a lot of inches.

Atkins devotee here. 45 lbs lost that I could not lose by any other method, even fasting for days and days. Rosacea cleared, colesterol down, eyes not so dry. There are too many success stories to discount Atkins as a fad diet. I knew I was a carboholic and couldn't stay away from it. First two weeks on Atkins I thought I was dying, then the cravings just stopped and I no longer long for sweets, bread or potatoes.

I started the Atkins program since the day before Thanksgiving. 1 cup of orange juice is 28 carbs. Even on the "Weight Watchers" program 8 oz. of OJ is 3 points. Better to eat a complete orange.
I love oranges, haven't eaten one in 3 months, but looking forward to sections once I reach goal weight. OJ, who needs it? The best beverage is H2O.
