If Dr, Dean imploded after the convention, I'm sure the rats would have tried a "Torricelli" at the last minute.

Or a Mel Carnahan...

I would love it if Dean ran as a Green. To be honest, I don't think it will happen. Dean could be the leader of a movement, he could draw the Green party into being competitive for lower offices. But he could never be president. That's what he really wants, not to go on "some damn fool ideolistic crusade".

Apparenly not ALL of us :)

There's no doubt Clark is cozy with the Clintons, at least, but he strikes me as at least slightly to the left of Bill Clinton. I dunno. I could be wrong.

I'm yearning to see Howard Dean as Larry Cucumber's evil cousin, Howie Cucumber His goofy smile is what reminds me of my favorite Veggie Tale character.

Sure, except for the fact that Wesley Clark was basically put into the race by the Clintons. The whole Clinton staff operation is now effectively working for Clark. Of course Hillary wants a divided party. They didn't put Clark in for him to win, they did it so Dean would lose. Dean's the only one who has voiced an agenda to revamp the DNC, which is where their roaches live.

Hey, I concede that it's entirely possible that the Clintons are THE driving force behind Clark's ENTIRTE campaign and not JUST his entry. But you have to keep in mind that when Hillary is involved, you can never quite predict just what she's up to.

Rats will hold their nose and vote for Kerry if they think he can beat Bush...they don't care....btw 2 polls show Kerry beating Bush, that's all they need to vote for him....Kerry will be the nominee.

No, of course they don't control polling. But they do control a significant amount of the Independent Committee money that serves as the Soft Money conduit these days.

Be Seeing You,

Since the weather report for New Hampshire calls for a major snow storm beginning in the early afternoon of the Monday before the primary and snowing heavily right through election day, the pollsters need to determine which voters will actually turn out in adverse conditions.

How about Kerry-Edwards, so they get the southern vote.

Kerry/Edwards on the surface looks like Kennedy/Johnson in 1960.

But Johnson was the experienced one and Kennedy, the newcomer.

Edwards would be too much Quayle-like.

Perhaps. Honestly, I think even Clark doesn't know where he is on the liberal/conservative scale.

I've heard before that Kerry had a reputation as a womanizer, but don't know what the time frame was or what his marital status was at the time. Is Lovie a nickname for Teresa Heinz or for his first wife? Of course if the women were all willing, he's still a lot better than Clinton.

I'm so tired of the "Clintons are orchestrating the election" and especially the "Hillary comes to the rescue in a brokered convention" crap. You guys give these boobs way too much credit.

As far as Hillary "coming to the rescue" at the convention by making herself available as the nominee in a brokered convention, it is difficult for me to not break out laughing everytime I read that.

Are you kidding me? Hillary Clinton on the presidential ticket (either at the top or as VP) would be a total disaster for the Democrats. It would be a GOP landslide of epic proportions. Aside from maybe David Duke and Lyndon LaRouche, Hillary Clinton is probably the most unelectable person you could ever put on a national ticket.

Don't give me that crap about how Hillary "won" a senate seat in New York. So what? The "victory" was in probably the most liberal state in the union against a GOP lightweight (can't even remember his name) who was thrown out there as a sacrificial lamb after the real GOP challenger (Rudolph Guliani) dropped out of the race at virtually the last minute due to personal problems. Rudolph would have mopped the floor with Hillary had he stayed in the race to the finish and even Hillary knows it which is why she'll find some way to not have to run for re-election should Rudy get in the 2006 race.
