I need a fellow FReeper to check my numbers, but I think I've got a pretty good idea on how far the bounces were for the Spirit lander.

1 meter = 39.37 inches.

American Football field, Endzone to endzone, = 4320 Inches
150 Meters = 5905
One American football field, endzone to endzone, is equal to .7315% of 150 meters

150 meters in the drawing = 374 pixels

374 pixels * .7315 = 273.58 pixels

1) Soooooo, placing bounce number 1 right on the fieldgoal, at about the same place players take the "Lambeau Leap".

2) The second bounce was right on the 50 yard line, midfield

3) The third bounce was just inside of field goal range, on about the 25 yard line.

4) The 4th bounce would be just inside the left goal post in the back other endzone.

kewl, eh ?

That is so cool. I heard someone say yesterday they are going to try and get a shot of the Rover as it explores Mars....from overhead.

Cool!
