Cherie sure is dumb for a supposedly "brilliant" lawyer (just like Hillary! on that score). She doesn't understand that ours is not a system of direct democracy, but a Republic governed by laws made by the legally elected representatives of the people, with well-defined rules and procedures. Bush was legally elected by the Electoral College, as stipulated by the laws of the land. No "theft" was involved.
But she's a leftist and that means there is an inherent problem with being stupid and hypocritical. She never complained to Clinton about his support of the death penalty, or shoved documents in his face concerning it.
But the main thing Cherie should realize is, nobody elected her to anything. She's entitled to speak her mind on the issues, of course, but in the end those will count no more or less than anyone else's.

Nothing is more amusing than assertions, especially from foreigners, that Bush "stole" the election in some alternative reality where the Electoral College and actual constitutional procedures for selecting presidents does not exist. Apparently plenty of Americans, starting with the Democrat party and Al Gore himself, are ignorant of this process. Every schoolkid is supposed to know that it's possible to lose the popular vote and still become president.
As for Iraq's "missing WMD's," it's unfortunate that free countries have inadequate propaganda ministries, else the Americans could blast the truth out loud into every outlet-- the Russians dismantled Saddam's weapons at the last minute when it became obvious the invasion couldn't be staved off through the UN Security Council, duh.

The supreme court prevented Gore from stealing the election
As far as the death penalty there is an argument that is legitimate over the danger of convicting and killing the wrongly convicted. But the leftist argument that it is "inhumane" is BS. People who murder and are sentenced to death deserve to be killed. Period. And anybody who feels sorry for them is an idiot.

And what information does Ms. Blair have that GW stole the election? She obviously is a screaming leftist who will NEVER let the FACTS get in her way!

Yes I just Joined, no I am not a troll.
I have consider myself to be a conservative most of my life which numbers more then fifty years. My experience has been that one can always tell the difference between a conservative and a liberal when an issue is discussed as the liberal almost always enter into a personal attack rather then discuss an issue. It has been a successful tactic for several reasons. It diverts attention from the real issue and it is an available escape when they lack the understanding and/or intelligence to discuss the issue. The Clintons have successfully used this tactic for many years.
After reading this thread I am sadly disappointed to see those that consider themselves conservatives fall into this liberal trap. Surely we can do better then this and also use better language in doing so.

Unlike Cherie's country, ours has a written constitution the rules of which were (despite the efforts of the Florida State Supreme Court, the socialist whores who make up most of our press, every known thug in the democrat party and their slime candidate) followed to the letter. I would hope that GWB took this b***h's comments in stride and that Laura, in a private moment, told Cherie exactly where she could stick it.

Why can't these wannabe political spouses be more like Dennis Thatcher who respectfully and rightfully demured and deferred to his wife Madame Thatcher while she ruled Britannia.
This mouthy Blair broad needs to deal with her own crap and stop meddling.

This must be the only selling point of the biography. Until I hear her say this I'll have to believe it's chatter from the rumor mill.

"Cherie Blair is said to have made no secret of her conviction that Mr Bush stole the presidential election".
Tony should be embarrassed...His naive wife needs to be informed the truth about the Florida election scam that Algore and his Chicago lackey's nearly pulled off.
