One of the zany aspects of The Day the Earth Stood Still was that the suave alien (Klaatu, played by Michael Rennie) was advocating some sort of world government by the UN along the lines of the World Federalists.

being exploded by aliens I have to say it just
right so the alien robot guy will stop the explosion -

either!" - "I'm afraid ya'll are on your own!" Unless
one of you can come up with the right phrase pronounced
correctly, it's all shewrote!
