I'm not actually sure but there is a Mt. Lassen, which I believe is supposed to be an inactive volcano in Northern California.

It's very active. We were there summer before last. It's a very interesting place. There are ponds of boiling water. There are areas that stink of sulphur. It's interesting.

It exploded circa 1910. It is considered merely dormant.

Last blew up about 1914, if I remember correctly. Not thatlong ago.

I have a beautiful picture of a sunset I took from the ridge atop Mt. Lassen; I was on my way to see a friend who works at the so-called medium security prison in Susanville.

I wouldn't characterize Mt. Lassen as inactive.

I remember that there was a quake swarm in the Lassen area a few years ago.
