Assume the meeting with Osama's son is true...there are other explanations...like Iranian diplomacy with Afghanistan, over which Osama was a kind of ruler...or deals on jihadi transportation to Causasus, etc.

I recall Khatami seemingly shocked with 9/11.

Just my own suspicious self about anything that deflects attention from PakSaudi.

It was head of the ISI Gen. Mahmoud in DC that day who'd wired money via KSM/Omar Sheikh to Atta.

Kinda mysterious and convenient this guy comes along, vindicating the Arab suspect in Germany and shifting suspicion to the Iranians.
