"Yeah he really is choosing to ignore it. That is your opinion and your opinion is not a royal decree." Yes you are 100% correct, he really is choosing to ignore it.
Here is the beginning of the solution . .
President Bush - stand up and tell us the truth
What part of the truth are you afraid of?

What part of the truth are you afraid of? None at all. It seems that you are afraid of a person addressing the issue that isn't as knee jerk as yours. Look you can't twitch your nose and Mexico goes away. Might be like that on TV Land, but not in the real world.
Oh, BTW, there are plenty of Americans who have dumps as yards. Are they more noble to you. How come you don't complain about them?

I just do not like his stance on illegal alien border jumpers and their spawn or how he thinks pandering is going to get him votes. We are Americans too, we want the same thing as all Americans It isn't pandering but a proposal to do something about a problem that has been ignored for years, and you might as well face the facts that there are not going to me mass deportations of people picking lettuce to make a living.

No one said he could win, we just want to send GWB and Rove (Wormtongue) a message they will understand.

"Are they more noble to you." Get off your high horse.
Bush is not taking the high moral ground by legalizing millions of illegal migrants.
It's soiling his image very badly. He needs to switch gears and put his loyalty back where it belongs - to America, not Mexico.
What part of loyalty to America and Americans and not Mexico and Mexicans do you not understand?

I have written my congressmen. But I will not support a RINO and with GWB's shift to the left that is what I think he is.

Consider the source. It's nutty Joe Farah. It's funny that this guy was considered a brilliant writer when his pen was aimed at X-42. But now that President Bush's actions and words are under scrutiny he suddenly becomes a nut. This seems to happen a lot.
You guys are unreal. I'll ask this question I've asked before and not yet received an answer for:
Whatever happened to keeping President Bush's feet to the fire?
That is what the rabid Bush supporters promised they would do if he won the election. I have seen no feet being held to any fire, just a swooning over some vague notion that throwing the Treasury doors open is part of some masterful strategery on President Bush's part.

Your passion for principle is admired, but that is not an "alternative" as you put it. That is simply throwing in the towel.I'm glad that settling for the only "viable" candidate who spends domestically more than any other President has is not considered throwing in the towel.

There are a lot of bushbots on this forum. But I agree with you we need to hold all politican feet to the fire, most notably the president's.

Let's pretend. Let's pretend that Bush had come out and called for a massive law enforcement initiative to track down, arrest, and deport every illegal alien. Now be honest. Where would his popularity stand right now among Americans? How would that have affected his reelection chances? How would that have upset our diplomatic relations with Mexican president Fox?
Face it; there is no popular will to track down, arrest, and deport all illegal aliens, especially those from this hemisphere. The Democrats want an even more expansive amnesty program. Bush wins this issue at the cost of -- at worst -- the continuation of the status quo.
We've already got one war, the one against Islamic terrorists. We don't need another war against the people who are picking our lettuce, washing our cars, and really simply doing what any responsible individual ought to do--work to seek a better life.

Most illegal immigrants have no idea what you mean when you talk about a 'constitutional government'.Well isn't that a great reason to give them voting rights...
Neither, it seems, do many people who post here.

I just want him to defend the border and stop them there, even if it requires the military to do it. If that happens those in the US would eventually filter back.
