Hafta disagree with you there, Arne. Matt didn't invent the internet. It was already there, and many Americans discovered it with him. I do think that the internet is analogous to the printing press. I just would never give Matt the same status as Gutenberg.

Well, I said "shadow" :^). But, it wasn't the engineering of a "movable type" press that was the elegant invention, it was the seizure of the dissemination of public information away from the despotic control of Kings, Popes and other authority figures that made the printing press one the most influential human inventions of all time. The concept, not the vehicle.
