Do you think they will give their votes to each other?

That is what has happened every time there has been a constested convention in the past.

You know nothing about candidates. They are interested in themselves. They want to win. All they all only care about themselves.

Everyone of them is thinking about how they will win the nomination the next time they run!!! Use your brain.

Why did Ronald Reagan stay in the race in 1976 until he lost the vote at the repubican convention? Why didn't he drop out and support Ford in 1976. Reagan knew Ford had the votes. Had Reagan folded before the convention Ford might have won that close race against Jimmy Carter. But then Reagan would not have had as good a chance in 1980. Reagan was interested in REAGAN. He was planning his run in 1980 before the 1976 convention started. If he had not been he would have dropped out and worked his butt off for Jerry Ford.

And you think this years Democatic candidates are more interesteed in their parties victory than Reagan was in 1976.

Man you are naive.

As a Reagan Delegate to the Convention in 1976 I can assure you that Ford did not have the nomination sewed up before the convention. The nomination was very much in play at the convention. Clark Reed's defection from the Reagan camp at the convention gave Ford Mississippi and assured his nomination.
