Rioght, but it's not either/or. Space is a fairly small portion of the Fed budget. Bush's new program doesn't ewxpand space spending much. I would like to see NASA's budget bumped to $50 billion, but there is a point where it would be unreasonable to ask for so much. A lot can be done with $15 billion.

The currency on Mars? Hmm. The only exchange going on seems to be data bits.

bush is getting some very bad advice reguarding mars.
If we go, it should be with robots and not man. Nothing man can do there that a robot can't and it costs a lot less.

So what if they guessed there was life once upon a time on Mars? I mean, like, now what?

Krauthammer doesn't know jack about spaceflight.
His article sucked for technical reasons.
All the verbage he may pen will not match the reality of the task.
Engineers don't give a rip about the emotion.
They do math.
Unfortunately, Mr. Krauthammer doesn't appear to know math.

Alas, the poll has ended and they've a new one up. About a gay veteran monument - as if their sacrifice is somehow more special than any other veteran.
