Well..girls.....that's what you get when you associate with LIBERAL, COMMIES who could care less about you, but just want to use you (for their financial purposes) until you're used up. And, that's what YOU get when you take on sexually suggestive roles when you're in your 20's-30's.....and make a ton of money off of them. HEEE HAAWWWW. Joke's on you.

The article is BS.

Jodie Foster is over 40 and so are Michelle Phiffer and Sissy Spacick.

Good actresses find work.

Its the one's who don't have much talent and have screwed their way to fame that get tossed aside.

What a shocker!!!!

Actually, age discrimination will/is becoming a big issue in America. It's happening at great frequency in all fields and continue to do so. Only a matter of time until this becomes a one of the hot button issues.

They are all wealthy enough to start their own film companies. Why don't THEY take the risk with THEIR money and see if the public is interested in watching their movies.

I see a lot of roles for women over 40 in flicks.... what the hell do they want?? Unless they are talking about XXX flicks, I think 30 is considered over the hill for porn.

I got news for them. The movie going/DVD buying demographic skews young with 25-35 years old being the ideal customer. As male actors get older they also get less work, fewer possibilities.

All I have to say to these ladies is, if you're going to be a stupid b*tch, you better be good looking.....because once you lose your looks, no one is going to cast you for anything because they have no reason to put up with you.

Not that I feel that way about all the women in this article....but that's certainly true for the majority of them.

I think it's the leftist men in Hollywood who are making these 'do-not-cast' decisions. I thought they were supposed to be enlightened.

"They've told me, 'It's just a bunch of chicks sitting around bitching about us'."

This statement pretty much sums up the entire article. These women have been living in make-believe for so long that they don't understand reality. Reality is that movies are successful because people like to see them. Men like to see movies that feature women who are attractive. If these women are no longer the most attractive, then they are going to have fewer parts.

Here's an analogy. There are plenty of professional athletes who would still like to make their living as athletes even when they are past 40. Why don't more teams keep these guys on the roster? Teams drop older players because those players don't play as well as their younger competitors. A team made entirely of older men would lose most games, and no one wants their team to be a loser.

Another reality is that there are parts for older women, but they are different parts from those that these women are used to playing. I'm sorry that these women are having problems dealing with this fact, but that's part of the business that they've chosen.

Most of these actresses made more in their 30's than most people would make in two or three lifetimes. Their complaining about not getting so many parts is petty and ugly. It's funny how they complain about the injustice of it today but they didn't give it a second thought fifteen years ago when their youth and beauty is what gave them their big breaks in the business. It's time for them to shut up and grow up.

I find it offensive that in Hollywood a 68-year-old movie star is paired with a 30-year-old, or someone even younger.

Yeah right!

The documentary is seen as a thinly veiled attack on moguls such as Harvey Weinstein - the portly co-owner of Miramax - who control the film industry and the careers of Hollywood actresses.

Two observations:

1) Harvey is described as portly.
2) The only person mentioned as 'controlling the film industry' just happens to be jewish. Hmmmmm...

There comes a point when some of the female artist simply aren't considered peaches anymore. You can't blame the film industry for having the good sense to realize that a firm young woman will sell better to young audiences than some embarrassing moth eaten hag with breast that look like a pair of silk socks with an orange (maybe a lime in Meg's case) in each one.

Actually, there is a rational explanation for the problem: the men controlling the hiring are in arrested development and haven't the ability to appreciate women over forty because these men have remained teenaged boys in their libido area rather than grow up and appreciate a woman companion instead of a p!ece of tail ... put another way, they are stuck still thinking sex is far and away the most important thing in life.

In the film, Daryl Hannah, 43, says that the root of the problem lies "with the guys who run the studios".

Mary Pickford helped bankroll United Artists instead of starring in a documentary highlighting her victim status.

And all this Vagina Monologuing, mind you, on the heels of their nips and tucks. It's as if they're laboring under the misapprehension that people have always respected them for their 'deep throats', er, I mean 'thoughts'.

Should the big, bad, film execs take their laments seriously, my tagline would rarely be more applicable.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa wa wa waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, like football players they didn't plan for the end of the gravy train. The sun don't shine on the same dogs butt everyday, don't you know. There are millions that would trade a drab life for 1 day of stardom, and these shallow women whine because they only got 20 years of worship.

The took the parts when they were young, and in doing so they supported the stereotypes.

What goes around...

Whoopi Goldberg is an odd one in this mix. She NEVER was a looker. Great comedienne, great timing, great acting skills, imho. (Too bad all these ladies are liberals.)

They should save their dollars and invest for a slim future. And they should turn to writing and creating scripts that work for them.
