With the exception of Pickering, all of the nominees are relatively young, and wouldn't want to give up a lifetime appointment just yet. It's my understanding that is what would happen if they weren't confirmed by the new Congress that convenes next Jan. Pickering is close to retirement age, though. He can afford to take the risk.
Is that right, nopardons? If not, please feel free to correct me. I want to get these things straight. ;o)
We've finally thawed out, and the snow is finally gone. We spent two hellish weeks with bitterly cold temperatures, wind, ice and snow. I ventured from my house twice to go to the grocery store. It's not that I'm scared to drive. It's that I'm afraid of the other folks on the road. We don't have weather like that very often, and people here don't know how to drive in that stuff. There were so many cars wrecked, in the ditch, or both.
Two o'clock, onyx? lol I'm impressed! ;o)
Have black-out drapes on all windows in bedroom (comes from living in NV 3 years). Didn't have to babysit today, so it was so quiet, I slept and slept and slept. :)
