***The Courage Of George W. Bush***
Stardate: 0401.17

As I listen to the jabberings of the misc. democrats who are attacking the President, those who were in the services, et al, I always remember one sight I will never forget the rest of my life......
A few days after 9-11 when no one knew what was happening and who was behind it, and no one was really sure if it was over, I watched George Bush, all alone, walk out to the mound at Yankee Stadium, in front of 55 thousand people and as clean a target as ever existed, show the world that America, (at least this American) wasn't going to be intimidated.....and there, all alone, no SS, no NYPD, nothing, he threw out that first ball.......
You could hear America stop breathing until he was off the field.......
That took more guts than anything any of these pathetic weasels ever did in their lives.......
I will never forget that.....ever......

On the subject of baseball, I'm sure you all heard about BJ Klintoon and the Wicked Witch going to an opening day game back during the 90's.
As the game was about to start, an aide came up and whispered in BJ's ear, whereupon, Willie threw Hitlery out on the field!
The aide protests....no, no "Mr. President" I said it's time for you to throw out the first PITCH.

Yep. I think I quit breathing for a few minutes. I can feel the feeling in my chest the same as when he did it. Was it that tight, constricted feeling? That's what I had...

Hey, he's got pretty good form. Nice smooth delivery.
He may be the most athletic president we've had since TR.
The fact that he's brave as a whole pride of lions doesn't hurt either . . .

Oh I remember that night also.I was so afraid for him.I thought if something happened to him that night this country would be in big trouble. You are right. He stood up there to show us that it was okay to be scared, but to overcome it and go on living. That is how a leader leads,by example and I will forever be grateful to the President for giving this nation the strength to get going again.

He has consistantly shown, time after time after time, extraordinary courage. Standing on the pile of rubble at the WTC, throwing out the first pitch, landing on the Lincoln, and the surprise visit to the troops in Baghdad. These are not small acts.
I know it is far away for many people, but I really can't make myself believe that the American people will forget this courage or the fact that we will need it in the future.
