I've heard there have been several suicides among those who lost loved ones. The human cost is immesurable and will continue for many, many years. Sometimes I get discouraged and think that most Americans have "moved on," and that 9/11 no longer has the same impact it did on the day. This election will speak volumes about who we are as a people and a nation.

Right about Congress (antonym: progress) being out. I was using Clinton as aprecedent for my desire for Bush to fill 'er up and fill even more contested vacancies while the Congo's away. After all, it has been three years.

The vitriol we have seen lately has been pretty depressing, and it is cheering to see that there are people who remember what we have been given in George Bush.

Whenever I "meet" a naysayer, either in person or on FR, I ask them to consider the matter they are upset with the president about. And then to ask them if they truly believe a Democrat would handle things better. Chances are, in every instance, a Democrat would make worse policy changes, more liberal, and less protective of the nation's security.

I love this president, and my husband approves. I've told my husband I would die for this president if he needed me to risk my life in such a way, and my husband approves. We've never felt this way about a president before, and we're proud of how we feel and I will NOT let the naysayers and the leftists take that away from us.

Well I will be damned!

I thought George W. Bush was no different than Howard Dean! I thought he was letting all the Mexicans into the neighborhood! I thought government spending and the Farm Bill made it IMPOSSIBLE for TRUE CONSERVATIVES to continue to support Bush!

Ohmigawsh! Imagine my surprise when Bush put Pickering in as a recess appointment!

I pray daily that the Lord will strengten and guide our wonderful President.and that He will always keep him in the center of His will.

I pray every day that God will grant wisdom and guidance to President Bush -- and what comforts me is that I KNOW that President Bush seeks God's wisdom and guidance. That makes me trust him in a way that I would never have thought I could trust a politician.

Don't get me wrong. I know that he's fallible. I also understand that all men are fallible so I won't be hard on him for his flaws, and if I oppose him strongly on an issue, I will write the White House and/or my congressmen/senators and voice my concerns.

The combination of knowing that President Bush tries to do what's best for this country, first and foremost, and that he seeks God's help goes a long way with me.

LOL....In all fairness, I think Sec. 9 was being sarcastic. But there are some folks on FR who have that attitude. I just have to shake my head...If someone can't distinguish the difference between GW Bush and "Mad How," they're so far off the political map that they're not reflecting an ideology, they're reflecting a psychosis.
