Ernest L. Martin died on this day two years ago. He appears to have had some rather unorthodox ideas of scriptural history. His theories appear interesting, but he has been completely ignored outside of his own organization.

Naive, friendly question...was Martin affiliated with any universities/institutes
(other than the one linked in the lead article)?
And where did the "Dr." come from.

I'm not knocking the guy...just wondering if you (or other posters/lurkers)
know the fellow's bona fides.
