"For decades, Republicans systematically alienated Hispanics by insisting on English-only initiatives, opposing benefits for illegal immigrants and demanding an end even to free public schools for the children of those who came here illegally. These measures drove Hispanics into the waiting arms of Democrats. Bush has now acted to reverse the legacy of these initiatives and to welcome Hispanics into the GOP. "

Bush is now a Democrat?

Most internet polls have been showing at least 2 to 1 against the amnesty program.
Actually, other than GWB and Rove, who has come out in favor of the program? That, alone, speaks volumes. It sure isn't the majority of Americans.
The prescription drug fiasco alienated many senior voters. The illegal amnesty is alienating more voters. Pretty soon, it won't matter who the Dem candidate is; he/she will get the job of President by default.

...some are refusing to donate to his reelection campaign. Hey, they got my letter!
Seriously, I responded to a fundraising letter with a blunt but polite note about immigration. I'm glad to hear that others are responding the same way.

They got my message and emails also. I doubt that I will get another "bot" response.
