PLEASE PASS ON-Message from Iraq
The proud warriors of Baker Company wanted to do something to pay tribute to our fallen comrades. So since we are part of the only Marine Infantry Battalion left in Iraq, the one way that we could think of doing that is by taking a picture of Baker Company saying the way we feel. It would be awesome if you could find a way to share this with our fellow countrymen. I was wondering if there was any way to get this into your papers to let the world know that "WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN" and are proud to serve our country."

I got this in an e-mail the other day and nearly cried.
And we haven't forgotten that day. And we'll never forget our troops. We owe them everything.

Thank-you so much for your service and your little-seen bravery. I love you guys (and as Abigail Adams requested "Don't forget the ladies!") and gals that are serving us so proud. We in the Homeland love you all and fight the small battle (words of enlightenment to the misdirected) while you carry the heavy load. God bless you all and remember you will never be alone - we love you guys!

It is a beautiful tribute. Thank you for the ping.
They were thinking of us on 9-11, while living near sand fleas and Saddam loyalists.
Worth the re-post.
Bless our troops!

"So since we are part of the only Marine Infantry Battalion left in Iraq...."
Which tells me the rest are back in safer sites, cleaning their gear, resupplying their stores, resting, training, planning.
Prepared to go wherever needed, to straighten out some more muslim terrorists and their national support system (Syria, Iran, SA??).

Even better than newspapers, email it around the world.
And of course print out for the cooler wall at work.

I first saw this photo on September 11, 2003, on
an FR thread; and as I sat and looked at the photo, I noticed something striking about it. Look closely at the photo; the "9-11" is made up of soldiers' rifles stood on end in the soil, with helmets set atop them.
Baker Company remembers, and has paid tribute to those lives lost on September 11th, 2001, in the soldier way. We too, must never forget that day, and the soldiers' lives lost since then.
Never forget.
