We are not just talking bars, and it's not up to me to suggest anything to someone else, I don't remember saying going to bars was desirable or not.
I may be reading that into your statement. The title of the thread is "(Smoking) Ban puts bars in the red" and I'd gotten the impression a lot of folks think that is a bad thing. The corollary is that higher profits at bars would be a good thing, meaning that more people out drinking is a good thing. If that is what people really believe I'd be surprised.
