Sean Hannity is her male equal.

Sean is a nice, enthusiastic guy, but he is no where near the intellectual equal of Coulter. Her satire is brilliant. Sean is a much simpler thinker, but his enthusiam makes up for his limitations. But Hannity is no equal.

GOD BLESS YOU ANN COULTER!!! You are the very best. The brightest sun that shines through the darkness of the liberal left. You make William F. Buckley sound like Mother Goose.

"FP: Hypothetically, if you did become president, what are two or three things you would immediately pursue?

AC: 1) Fire Norman Mineta.

2) Pack the Supreme Court."

I like that. PACK THE SUPREME COURT. Simple. Fill it with more justices who are all conservative. There is NO limit on the number of Justices in the Supreme Court. Republicans lock themselves into traditions which have no positive effect on their policy goals, while Democrats do whatever they feel is needed to advance theirs - even to the point of filibustering away the Constitution.

"She is the most outstanding female conservative in existence, IMHO."

She's certainly up there. But I'd also put forth Laura Ingraham, Peggy Noonan, Phyllis Schafly, Michelle Malkin, just to name a few. Peggy Noonan is the best writer of all of them, though, and they are all very good. Ann Coulter is the most entertaining. Phyllis Schafly is the most disciplined. Laura Ingraham is the best talk show host. And Michelle Malkin is the one most likely to rise to the top, when all is said and done.

Many conservatives lap it up but I seriously doubt she's winning any converts with her approach. And winning converts would seem to be the most important mission.

You make a good point, but I for one, love to read or hear her verbally carve up the other side. She is great with her brilliant, cutting, intelligent barbs. I wish I could write like her, I wouldn't be writing this. ;)

I LOVE Ann Coulter. I used to just like her, but now I'm actually reading TREASON and besides being a brilliant analyst, she's a damn good writer and funny as hell. I think I'll make her "must read" list my own.

I'm also going to make an offer: When I'm done with TREASON, I will send it to anyone who wants to read it and for whatever reason, can't afford it. Just FREEPMAIL me.

re: That National Review has standards.)))

Bah.

Except for Hanson, it's just a sandbox for otherwise-unemployable urban brats whose mummies played mah-jhong together.

I defy you to read Meghan Gurlong (is that her name? the little wifey in Canada?) without a heave.

"Let's give our wife her own column" column.

The conservative movement is around half evangelical--how is it that a conservative magazine with religious commentary has no evangelicals on staff?

Ah, the "don't offend the natives by denying them their idols" approach to conversion. The harsh truth converts far better than any convenient lie.

"David Horowitz has some problems with Coulter's book."

And General Omar Bradley had some "problems" with General George Patton...

With all due respect to conservative ally David Horowitz, I hold his criticism in the same regard Patton had for that donkey cart that was stuck on a key bridge holding up the advancement of his tank divisions -- if you recall the movie portrayal, the obstinent donkey was tossed over the bridge, and the division advanced onward.
