There's an old book called "Every Child Should Have a Chance" and it's written by Dr. Leila Denmark. I read it 15 years ago when my child was young, and I go back and reread it on a regular basis. I don't even know if it's in print anymore.

Dr. Denmark was, up until a few years ago, the oldest practicing pediatrician in the US (Atlanta area-I think she was over 100, and I really don't know if she's still alive or not.)

Anyway, she will make you feel so good about your decision to be a parent, and remind you of the awesome responsibility and privilege it is to grow that baby into adulthood.

P.S. Your pediatrician won't agree with her scheduling and feeding suggestions, but most of the book deals with raising kids into responsible adults.

Dr. Denmark was still living at age 105 last year. She retired from practice the year before at age 104.

I have not seen her obituary locally, and I'm pretty sure I would have heard. She is an amazing lady!
