We don't have the entire FLIR vid, but in what we do see here, guy #1 is clearly telling tractor man to get out of the way (you can see tractor man turn to look at the helo), then guy #1 reaches into the tractor for something. AK?
If the tube disposal and other details are in the preceding vid, then clearly these guys are part of the insurgency.
Which brings me way back to Tora Bora, December 2001, which presumably was FLIR-intensive free-fire zone. How (if) did anyone get out? Seems improbable.
FLIR is deployed in several operational modes beyond Blackhawks.
I've downloaded the video and watched repeatedly. As the first guy crosses the road, it appears that he reacts to the sound of the cannon and starts moving faster. He stays at the tractor, while the second guy that was at the tractor starts back across the road and then get vaporized (gunner now auto-ranged). Then, the first guy (now by the tractor) immediately whips some sort of cover (looks like canvas) off a long object a split second before he gets the hard goodbye as well.
From the look of them, they were up to no good (and they were apparently being followed by the Apache long before the video starts). Looks like three less terrorists to me.
