Your statement is idiotic. He's won twice statewide before. You can debate wether or not he'll be able to beat Boxer, but you can't say he's 'unelectable' because he has, in fact, been elected.

I'm all for electable, sane conservatives. Kaloogian is neither. Do you get his mailings? He has impressed me as someone who is big on talk, and not much more.

I'd be thrilled if David Dryer or Darryl Issa or someone more conservative was running, but seeming as I demand electability, as only by getting elected do you actually accomplish anything, I'll go with half a loaf over none at all. Boxer isn't even no loaf. She's negative loaf. If a credible candidate that is more conservative arises, I'd be inclined to support him. But until that point, I'd rather have a chance of taking the seat then having a 'pure' candidate who will get 40% of the vote.
