"I can't speak for everyone but I know our family has. We've sent e-mails but I'm also sending a hand written card thanking the President for taking a bold stand on a chaotic issue."
. . . my family has done the same -- and I have a VERY large family!
Good for you. The President needs to know that the common folks support him. I always recommend a hand written note as well.
When the leaders of Spain and Poland went over and visited their troops in Iraq last month, and reaffirmed their commitment to our joint efforts, I sent notes of thanks through their embassies. I got a very nice response for the Spanish Ambassador last week.
E-mails are fine but I do believe the hand written notes and letter gives it more of a personal touch.
Apparently we are part of the few who understand the legislative process involved here.
