As for me and my house, we will be starting a e-mail and letter writing campaign to tell W. to scrap the plan. And really shut off the leaky sieve of our borders by putting the Nat'l Guard out there to patrol it.

I can't disagree with that. Unfortunately it's also a move that directly shafts middle class Americans.

Send him all the cards and flowers you want. The vast majority of Americans don't approve of illegals and are tired of them taking advantage. Jorge may have made a bold move, but increasing the number of parasites on the welfare state can never be a wise move.

If there are 8 million illegals here, kick them out. We did it under Eisenhower 50 years ago in operation wetback and there is no reason we can't do it now. Heck, if we put 12 men and 2 suvs on the MOON, more than a quarter of a century ago, we can kick them out.

We have a perfect excuse, 911. We need to take advantage of this window of opportunity. We need to secure this country and security without borders, is no security at all. We can't afford to have 8 million people in this country, driving down wages, destroying our education system and overloading our hospitals and prisons.

Well stated. The reality is that this President has started the ball rolling towards cleaning up and tightening up a truly chaotic situation. But it is up to the congress to make the law addressing immigration, not the President. Another department that needs to be thrown out of the discussion is our State Department who constantly thwarts any attempt of stopping mass immigration for political and far too often, politically correct reasons. Thank the President and then get to your congressmen with a short list of your views, one of which should be the State Department’s ability to let people in via lottery - that should stop. Watch the Congress like a hawk as they will try to stuff pork by the ton into any bill they write. This is one issue where no PORK should be allowed.
